# Veritas

> AI Verification Infrastructure for Law. Veritas verifies citations, validates holdings, and audits quotes against official reporters and public records before a brief is filed. Each scan produces a SHA-256 hashed, time-stamped Verification Certificate suitable for the matter file.

Veritas is built for attorneys whose drafting workflow now includes generative AI. The Filing Risk Scanner is the audit layer between AI-assisted drafting and the courthouse door. It does not write briefs, format citations, or argue positions. It verifies that the cited authority can be located in the reporter the cite names, that the cited language matches the language in the reporter, and that the proposition the authority is offered for is supported by the holding.
